Welcome to the September edition of Acoustic Blend!
This month we're featuring songs of peace and offering extra space for the music of Andy Gullahorn. If there's any artist that can have me laughing and crying (and then crying because I'm laughing) all in the same song, it's this guy. Andy recently attempted to trick 2020 into thinking that the year was over, with a special Christmas in August livestream. Definitely check out his weekly appearances on Facebook and Instagram if this month's tracks pique your interest!
Our bonus track for this month is “Kindness” by Jess Ray. This brand new song tugs at the heart strings in all the right ways, and reminds me what unconditional love is all about.
We’re also trying something a bit different this month with a moment to breathe, featuring yours truly reading “Love Does That,” by Meister Eckhart. Listen for that around the 40 minute mark of the show.
Acoustic Blend airs this Saturday, September 12 at 8pm EDT on WBAA AM 920 in Lafayette / West Lafayette, and streaming live on wbaa.org. You can view the playlist at barrettmyers.com and below, once the show airs. ‘Til next month!
PS. Speaking of new music, Josh Garrels’ Peace to All Who Enter Here is featured at the top of the show. And there’s a brand new album called Out of Body from NEEDTOBREATHE that I’m still digesting. Here’s my current favorite:
